Save A Lot has announced that it will be closing its doors forever, and people are not happy about it.
If you live in Lancaster, you know that Save A Lot is a village staple. The store has been around forever, and whether you’re parking there for a festival or getting your groceries, the days you can go there are limited.
It’s important to note that this closure announcement currently only applies to the Lancaster, New York location. Here’s the announcement made on Facebook earlier this week:
We regret to announce that we will be closing permanently on Saturday, September 7th.
We appreciate the support that the people of Lancaster have given us for 22 years and we will miss being part of this community. We also want to thank our dedicated staff for their hard work in serving the community for so many years.
Please visit our nearest location at the corner of French and Union in West Seneca.
It is one of Lancaster’s staple foods.
We’re in this group on Facebook “You must be from Lancaster if…” and that got us making a list of things that reminded us of our childhood in 14086. Here’s what we came up with. If you think of anything else good, let us know so we can add it – especially if you graduated in the 1970s or 1980s, please!
