CARNEGIE, Pa. (KDKA) – A woman was found severely beaten under a bridge in Carnegie Sunday morning.
According to Allegheny County police, shortly before 6:30 a.m., they were alerted to a person calling for help under a bridge in the 200th block of Mary Street in Carnegie
The police then found a woman who had been severely beaten; her death was eventually pronounced at the scene.
Initial investigations revealed that the victim and two men lived under the bridge. Before the woman was found beaten on Sunday morning, police and emergency services were called to the same location on Saturday evening because one of the men had a seizure. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
The other man and the victim had no injuries or problems at this time.
After police found the victim on Sunday morning, they took the other man into custody and took him to the Allegheny County Jail.
The suspect was later identified as 29-year-old Joseph Beraducci of Pittsburgh. He was charged with manslaughter.
Police said all those involved had been identified and there was currently no danger to the public.
The Allegheny County Police Department is working with the District Attorney’s Office on this case.
