Woman convicted of involvement in 2020 murder of Montgomery teenager

MONTGOMERY, Alabama (WSFA) – A woman has been convicted for her role in the 2020 murder of a Montgomery teenager.

Judge Brooke Reid sentenced Erin Taylor to 50 years in prison on Thursday for the murder of 17-year-old Lesley Luna Pantaleon.

According to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, Taylor and her Co-defendants Pantaleon beat and stabbed her to death in June 2020 before throwing her alive into a stream.

Pantaleon’s body was recovered by Catoma Creek on July 4 of the same year.

Taylor was 16 at the time of her arrest but was charged as an adult. She confessed to her role in the killing and pleaded guilty to murder in April 2024.

District Attorney Daryl Bailey issued the following statement Thursday after the verdict was announced:

Bailey thanked Assistant District Attorney Katie Langer and the Montgomery Police Department for their work on the case.
