Kansas City, MO – Relatively calm weather is expected in Kansas City and surrounding areas of western Missouri over the coming week, with no severe weather expected. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Kansas City reports that while isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible, especially in eastern Kansas and western Missouri, they will not be severe. The rest of the week promises calm and stable weather with only minor disturbances.
The NWS says there will be a few isolated thunderstorms today, but skies will largely clear by the afternoon, reaching highs of around 80°F. On Tuesday, residents can expect partly cloudy skies and cooler temperatures of up to 79°F. Midweek, Wednesday and Thursday will bring sunny skies with temperatures between 80°F and 85°F.
Temperatures will gradually rise throughout the week, reaching a high of 30°C on Friday, and getting significantly warmer on Saturday and Sunday, reaching highs of around 35°C. Air quality will remain good, making for pleasant outdoor conditions all week.
Overall, western Missouri, including Kansas City, is expected to experience calm weather with typical August warmth and only a few isolated showers.
