UNM C&J department boasts new streaming studio

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – The University of New Mexico (UNM) student broadcast studio has undergone renovations. The television studio is now equipped with new cameras and equipment that supports live streams.

UNM announces development plans for South Campus site

Students can create high-quality video productions that can be streamed live on YouTube and Facebook. “We are very excited about this new live stream studio because it allows faculty to expand the range of opportunities for students to practice a skill they learn in courses,” says Ilia Rodriguez Nazario, associate professor at UNM. “The live stream studio allows them to be more present, to be where people are, and to use technology that the younger generation is more comfortable with.”

Renovation work began in September last year. The university plans to make the studio accessible to all students, not just those in the Faculty of Communication and Journalism.
