The Raiders helped over 1,000 children locally

A team logo is visible above the entrance to the 31,500-square-foot Las Vegas Raiders Headquarters/Intermountain Healthcare Performance Center.

These are the kind of feel-good stories I love telling everyone. When the Raiders announced they were coming to Las Vegas, they promised to be an active member of our community—and they continue to keep that promise! I’m excited to see the team become such a big part of our city. Sports bring people together in remarkable ways, and the Raiders are doing that again. As so many kids and teachers across the Las Vegas Valley head into the new school year, the Las Vegas Raiders have once again helped students prepare for the new school year! The organization knows that looking good has a positive impact, too. That’s why the Las Vegas NFL team has partnered with five area small businesses to offer free haircuts to help local kids get back to school ready! The team has done this for the third year in a row.

The Raiders have partnered with these businesses and schools

Unfortunately, the haircut events are already over. From August 6thth to 11thParents were encouraged to bring their children to participating locations, including 5 Star Barbershop, Masterpiece Barber School, Original Barber School, Fade ‘Em All Summerlin and Expertise Cosmetology Barber School. The Raiders donated to all of these businesses to help cover the cost of the haircuts and styling services.

The Raiders also hosted a special event earlier this month, on August 7thwhere local students had the opportunity to meet the Raiders staff and also the world famous Raiderettes.

Over a thousand children were supported by the Raiders in 2024

As already mentioned, this is the 3rdrd For the fourth year in a row, the Raiders have held these free back-to-school haircut classes. Last year alone, the team helped over 600 kids with free haircuts, and in 2024, the Raiders expanded their efforts and helped over a thousand kids get ready for school! The Silver and Black aren’t just a team, they’re a part of our community.
