Bigger. Brighter. And so full of art and creativity, you won’t want to miss it. They’ve doubled their space, fired up more kilns, expanded the studios, improved the classes, and invited more artists and artwork than ever before.

Discover the gallery and studios for contemporary glass art to learn more about the science, art and history of glass. Did you know that Pittsburgh was known as the Glass City before it became the Steel City?

Watch live demonstrations of glassblowing

Get up close to the 2,000 degree furnaces and watch world-famous and local artists blow and shape molten magma. TIP: A great day to bring the whole family is the first Friday of the month for the free Open House and Hot Jam.

Anyone can make glass art. The Pittsburgh Glass Center offers a Course offering from a short 20-minute introduction to glassmaking to weekend workshops and multi-week courses for all ages and abilities.
