I don’t mean to insult the Colonel, but I’m genuinely surprised. The pundits were apparently impressed by how lovable the old man still is, and they were also entertained by the many comedians who have recently attempted to portray him. I’ll ignore their efforts, but I fondly remember the original Colonel Sanders in the 1970s commercials. I love fried chicken. Yes, I do, and many others do too, based on that.
