The Lincoln Navigatorone of the old guard of full size luxury Off-road vehicle Segment, is being given new life. Lincoln has redesigned its largest model for 2025, and it’s probably the most luxurious Navigator ever.

The design on the outside is fresh but familiar. There’s a new grille with an LED light bar that stretches the full width of the front end. Like most luxury vehicles these days, Lincoln says this light bar performs a sequential dance on approach, illuminating from the center outward, a feature called Lincoln Embrace. Chrome and satin aluminum trim add to the luxurious look. Out back, full-width taillights and 3D emblems complete the liftgate, which also gets a new feature called Lincoln Split Gate.

This feature allows the Navigator’s tailgate to be opened, with the top half opening up and the bottom half opening down. This makes loading easier, according to the manufacturer, or turns the tailgate into a nice seating area. The split tailgate can also be programmed to open as the owner approaches the Navigator. There is also a wide choice of wheels, with the standard 22-inch and 24-inch wheels available as an option.

The interior of the 2025 Navigator sees the biggest changes. There’s now a 48-inch panoramic display that spans the entire width of the dashboard, as well as an additional touchscreen further down the center of the dashboard. Lincoln calls its new infotainment system the “Lincoln Digital Experience.” Google Assistant is built in, as is standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In parking mode, there are even more features for passengers on the right display. You can browse apps in the Google Play Store or even play games, listen to music and podcasts, or use productivity apps with the screen’s pano mode.

The other usual luxury car features are standard, such as heating and cooling for the front seats, a 24-way adjustable driver’s seat, a 28-speaker Revel Ultima 3D audio system and 14 USB ports throughout the cabin. Owners also get a free four-year subscription to BlueCruise hands-free driving.

Lincoln says the new Navigator is all about providing a relaxing experience for drivers and passengers, as can be seen with the new Lincoln Rejuvenate feature that turns the Navigator into a “spa on wheels.” It helps relieve stress by automatically adjusting climate control, interior lighting and seat massage settings, while also displaying calming imagery designed to help you relax. There are even scents introduced to help keep the interior smelling relaxing. And to top it all off, the Navigator comes preloaded with three relaxation modes designed in conjunction with the meditation app Calm, as well as a free one-year subscription to the app.

Owners can also choose their luxury theme with two new Black Label packages. In addition to the existing Invitation theme, there is Enlighten, which Lincoln describes as “the beauty of a sunrise and the dawn of a new day” with warm colors and accents, and Atmospheric, which is inspired by the color of a stormy day. The latter is also the first Black Label model to feature bronze accents on the grille, exterior trim and 24-inch wheels.

Despite the new design and features, the 2025 Navigator’s powertrain is a carryover. The same twin-turbo 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6 that the Navigator has used since 2015 remains, making 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. It sends that power through a standard all-wheel-drive system.

Lincoln hasn’t announced pricing yet; we’ll know closer to the sales launch. The 2025 Lincoln Navigator is expected to arrive in dealerships next spring.
