The 2025 Lincoln Navigator is a rolling spa day of an SUV

The luxury SUV market in the US seems to have no limits, either in terms of the range of offerings or the level of opulence, so even established brands have to step up their game to keep up. The Lincoln Navigator, which ushered in the luxury SUV segment in the US, was launched a year earlier than the Cadillac Escalade. Although the Caddy has become an icon, the Navigator has not quite managed to achieve the same cultural relevance.

As the automotive world’s most important figures gather in Monterey, California this week, it is the perfect opportunity for Lincoln to unveil its latest luxury SUV offering: the freshly designed 2025 Lincoln Navigator.

Like last year’s model, the 2025 Lincoln Navigator is still based on Ford’s T3 platform, which also underpins the Expedition. The truck is equipped with a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that delivers an unchanged 440 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission is paired with the engine, with all-wheel drive being standard on all models.

Every Navigator also comes with an adaptive suspension system with variable damping that ensures a comfortable ride despite the large 22-inch wheels. (Customers can also order a set of 24-inch rollers if they wish, a first for this model.) All Navigators benefit from Ford’s trailering software package, including Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Trailer Hitch Assist. With the optional Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package, the 2025 Navigator can handle an 8,700-pound load.

Lincoln is clearly in the process of revamping the family front, as the face of the new Navigator looks more like the latest Aviator and Nautilus. The grille is rounder and shorter than before, with a more pronounced lower apron and front spoiler. The lighting elements are also completely new, again using a more horizontal design. A central LED light bar connects the front headlights, accentuated by an illuminated Lincoln emblem. The rear also gets a set of revised lights that are less bright than previous units.

Inside, the biggest changes take place, revolving around the new 48-inch panoramic display. Known as the Lincoln Digital Experience, this system spans the entire width of the instrument panel and serves as both an instrument panel and a command center. There’s also an 11.1-inch center screen that lets you operate the larger system. All of this is supported by native Google voice commands.

Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard, while Google Play Store integration allows streaming apps and games to be downloaded directly to the car. A new Pano mode setting allows customers to use the entire 48-inch display with these apps when parked.

Lincoln actually hopes you park in this truck to relax, and has included a number of spa-inspired features to that end. Lincoln Rejuvenation mode adjusts the 24-way power seats (30-way power seats are optional), controls climate and massage functions, adjusts lighting and sound elements, and even sprays customized scents to maximize relaxation.

Second-row passengers also benefit from a significant upgrade with the Power Tailored Seats package, which adds power-adjustable, heated, ventilated and massaging captain’s chairs. A second-row bench seat is optional for those who need up to eight seats.

Other interior highlights include standard BlueCruise hands-free highway control on all models, a Wollsdorf leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, optional heated third-row seats and a 28-speaker Revel® Ultima 3D audio system.

For those who need as much luxury as possible, Lincoln has expanded its Black Label offering for 2025 with two new themed packages: Enlighten and Atmospheric. The former features light beige leather seating surfaces with gray piping and stitching, espresso carpets, and laser-engraved birch wood accents; the latter features Salt Crystal Gray leather seating surfaces, a Salt Crystal Gray headliner, and black flooring. Ash wood and Radiant Copper accents are found throughout, and Radiant Copper wheels and exterior trim are also included in this package.

Lincoln has not yet released pricing information on the updated Navigator line, but confirmed that the trucks will go on sale next spring.
