Texas: Illegal butt injections: Montgomery County charges Consuelo Dal Bo with unauthorized medical practice months after raid

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A mother who was arrested along with her daughter in April for allegedly administering illegal buttock injections faces new charges in Montgomery County.

Consuelo Dal Bo, 57, turned herself in voluntarily on Friday morning after police issued an arrest warrant for her.

On Tuesday, she was charged with two counts of practicing medicine without a license and related assault, court records show. The incidents occurred in 2021 and 2022 at her Montgomery County home.

In April ONLY ABC13 was there when Consuelo Dal Bo and her 19-year-old daughter, Isabella Dal Bo, were arrested during an undercover operation involving Houston police, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Homeland Security Investigations. The mother-daughter duo arrived at a home in Cypress thinking they were meeting a client who wanted butt injections and would pay $6,000 for them. Instead, they found they were dealing with undercover agents. Neither is a licensed investigator.

Consuelo Dal Bo was charged in Harris County with delivery of a controlled substance. Police said she gave an anti-anxiety drug to an undercover officer during the operation. Her daughter was charged with practicing medicine without a license.

Since the arrests, ABC13 has heard horror stories from women who say they suffered complications from the treatment Consuelo Dal Bo performed on them. One of them is now listed as a victim in the Montgomery County indictment.

“The side of my butt got really red and hurt to touch. I’m pretty sure it was an infection,” said one woman who wished to remain anonymous. ABC13 in April“I regret going to her, yes.”

According to the new charges, the woman told police that Consuelo Dal Bo said she was licensed and had a clinic where she worked, but that she sometimes gave herself the injections at home because it was “cheaper.”

Consuelo Dal Bo’s attorney, Paul Morgan, said in a statement: “Ms. Consuelo Dal Bo maintains her innocence. We look forward to hearing these charges in court.”

Consuelo Dal Bo appeared before the judge Friday morning in a pink prison jumpsuit. Her bail was set at $50,000 for each charge.
