Tallahassee family seeks answers after fatal hit-and-run accident

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee family is searching for answers after their loved one was killed in a hit-and-run crash earlier this month.

Randall Allen, 65, was struck by a car in southwest Tallahassee 11 days ago. According to Tallahassee police, Randall Allen was struck and killed near the intersection of Ocala and Pensacola.

Police said they have found the crashed car, but no arrests have been made yet. However, police say they have a suspect.

Randall Allen’s family can’t wait to find out who did this. Allen’s brother and niece described him as a caring, loving person who was always dancing and singing. At the time, he was homeless and living in Kearney Center. His brother said he would visit him every day to see if he needed anything.

“We’re just trying to figure out why nobody stopped,” said Allen’s niece, Tawana Allen Bryant. “Why didn’t you stop? And it’s – every day when we get up, my dad calls me: ‘Did you hear something?'”

Tawana said her greatest wish now is for the person responsible to come forward.
