Steve Davis is a Senior Legal Fellow in the Constitutional Scholarship Group of the Pacific Legal Foundation. Steve’s work focuses on the study of property rights, the United States Constitution, and common law. Before joining PLF, Steve worked on property rights cases in federal court, from case inception through appeal. Steve also served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri and as a clerk and administrator for the Missouri House of Representatives.

Steve enjoys lecturing and speaking at legal and history seminars and is often invited to speak at national, regional and local conferences, including the national ALI-CLE Eminent Domain and Land Valuation Litigation Seminar, the Missouri Bar and Judicial Conference, the Missouri Conference on History, and many continuing legal education courses. For the past six years, Steve has served on the Show Me Speakers Bureau, a statewide, invitation-only panel of Missouri history experts to speak at organizations and public meetings across the state, sponsored by the Missouri Humanities Council and the State Historical Society of Missouri.

Steve is a member of the bar only in the State of Missouri and the District of Columbia.
