Schedule, route and performances before the 10th anniversary event

Lincoln Pride is celebrating its 10th anniversary in the city centre this year. The event, which celebrates the LGBTQ+ community, will take place on Saturday 17 August from 11am-7pm in the Tentercroft Street car park in Lincoln.

Organizers say Lincoln Pride will be a “vibrant demonstration of the community’s diversity, providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.” The annual, free and family-friendly event attracts people from all walks of life.

The celebrations will kick off with a parade starting from the High Street at 11:30am and finishing at the event site at Tentercroft Street Car Park at 12:00pm. The main stage will feature headliners Liberty X, Fastfood Rockers, Amelle from the Sugababes and a host of local talent including winners of Lincoln’s Got Talent.

The celebration continues into the night with an after-party at The Scene nightclub, featuring acts such as Micheal Marouli, Soraya Vivian, Kelly Wilde, Scene Queens, Americk Channa and Bonnie Ann Clyde. There will be a secure family area with activities throughout the day, an expanded Pride market and a diverse food area. The family area offers a relaxed and quiet space away from the crowds and features entertainment such as a circus workshop.

Jason Reid, Chair of Lincoln Pride, said: “This year’s event marks our tenth anniversary and we promise to be better than ever as we embrace love, unity and diversity. Lincoln Pride 2024 is a testament to the progress made in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights and an opportunity to celebrate the incredible diversity that makes our city so vibrant.”

Road closures at Lincoln Pride 2024

The following roads will be closed throughout the day:

  • From Newland to St. Mary’s Street

  • Tentercroft Street/High Street to Pelham Bridge

  • Cable car to the High Street

A Lincoln City football match is taking place on the same day and Lincolnshire Police have warned of possible delays for motorists.
