Ruston man charged with stalking

A Ruston man was arrested on August 9 for stalking after a local woman reported him.

Ruston police went to the woman’s residence where they reported that 57-year-old Adrian Jackson had been texting her nonstop for over 12 hours. In the messages, he demanded that she open the door for him and used numerous profanities. The victim said she did not respond to any of the text messages.

When the victim heard a knock on her door and heard Jackson telling her to open the door, she called the police because he was banned from the apartment complex. She stated that she felt threatened by Jackson because she had asked him multiple times to leave her alone.

Jackson was spotted walking nearby and arrested. He said he had not been at the victim’s apartment.

Police were able to investigate text messages allegedly sent by Jackson. He was arrested at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center on charges of stalking and trespassing.
