Rod Stewart is a happy man in love… and he wants everyone to know it!
The rocker made his comments after reports emerged on Thursday that his marriage to wife Penny Lancaster had reached a “dead end” because they wanted to leave the US and move back to the UK.
It was claimed that the couple, who have been together for 27 years and married in 2007, argued over the sale of their LA home, with Rod allegedly “breaking his word” and leaving Penny “furious”.
Now, however, Rod has addressed the rumors and made it clear that there is no truth to the claims that he and Penny are trying to save their marriage. In fact, they “might not be in love with each other anymore.”
Rod said in a statement: “We wanted to make things clear. There is absolutely no dispute between Penny and I and no disagreement about where we should live, quite the opposite.”
“We returned permanently to our beloved Britain a year ago, but are fortunate to have homes in other countries that we enjoy visiting.
“We originally thought it would make sense to sell our LA home, but after having a wonderful time with family and friends while I was in Vegas this summer, we realized it made sense to keep our home there. Two of my oldest children still live at the Celtic House (the LA residence).

Dozens of people praised Rod for standing up to the allegations. One wrote: “This was none of our business and I’m sorry you had to defend yourself like that. We are definitely stronger together.”
Others said they “didn’t believe it for a minute,” and a third wrote: “It’s wonderful to read this news. I’m glad to know you still love each other as much as you did on day one. You are an extraordinary couple.”
Rod first announced his family’s plans to move to the UK in June 2023, when he listed their Beverly Hills home, which features a three-story guest house, swimming pool and soccer field, for $70 million.
Rod raised the asking price to $80 million in December before reducing it by $6 million two months later. He later took the house off the market.
