GAITHERSBURG, MD – A 21-year-old Gaithersburg man was killed in a shooting in Montgomery Village on Monday. The incident occurred around 11:38 a.m. on Club House Road.
When officers from the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) arrived at the scene, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The MCPD’s Major Crimes and Homicide Unit responded to the scene, collecting evidence and conducting interviews.
Investigators identified 20-year-old Oliver Alexis Perez Fierro as the suspected shooter. He was arrested at around 12:15 p.m. that same day and is now facing charges including first-degree murder and use of a handgun in the commission of a felony.
Evidence was seized from Perez Fierro’s home following a search warrant. He is currently being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit awaiting a bond hearing.
The investigation is ongoing. The name of the deceased will be released after his family has been notified.

Suspect in fatal shooting in Stowe Township flees from police
STOWE TOWNSHIP, PA – A man was shot and killed in Stowe Township, prompting local law enforcement to search for the shooter.
The incident was reported to the county’s 911 number around 3:19 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Pleasant Ridge Road.
When emergency responders arrived, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The suspect presumably fled to a nearby residence, whereupon SWAT teams were called in. However, the suspect was not found in the residence.
The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is currently leading the investigation. Initial reports indicate that the shooting occurred after an argument outside. Detectives continue to collect evidence and investigate the circumstances of this fatal incident.

Man in critical condition after argument with girlfriend due to multiple gunshot wounds
PENN HILLS, PA – An adult male is in critical condition following a shooting in Penn Hills. The incident occurred around 11:37 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Elias Drive.
After an emergency call, emergency responders arrived at the scene and found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is currently investigating the case.
Initial findings suggest that the shooting was the result of a physical altercation between the victim and his girlfriend. Investigators are currently working closely with the district attorney’s office to determine the appropriate charges.
