OBITUARY
LancasterDorothy J. (Gibson) Brockelman, 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at UMass Medical Center-University Campus in Worcester. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 70 years, Robert G. Brockelman, and her daughter, Donna Kennedy. She is survived by her three children, Robert G. Brockelman, Jr. and his wife Christine, Debra Delorey, wife of the late Thomas Delorey, and David A. Brockelman and his wife Cynthia, 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Nina Wilson, Esther Maples, James, Paul, Richard and Donald Gibson. Dorothy, daughter of the late Paul & Emma Colone (Setzer) Gibson, was born and raised in Leominster. She graduated from Saxton Trade School in 1948. In addition to raising her family, Dot was a talented seamstress and spent her professional career as a sewing supervisor at R&M Clothing Manufacturing in Leominster. Her favorite pastimes included annual summer family vacations at Old Orchard Beach, frequent games of bingo, trips to the casino, and Monday night card games with the girls. Most of all, she will forever be remembered as the matriarch of the family, a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend. Visiting hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton.
