RIVERSIDE – The Jamil Dada Character Excellence Youth Awards will continue to honor Riverside County youth for years to come, thanks to the establishment of an endowment by the event’s namesake, Jamil Dada. Jamil currently serves as vice chair of the Riverside County Workforce Development Board. He is also a longtime member of the Governor’s California Workforce Development Board and the National Association of Workforce Boards in Washington, D.C. Jamil officially announced the establishment of the endowment last month at the annual youth awards ceremony at the March Field Air Museum. “Every year we hear incredible stories from youth across Riverside County who, despite their life situations, overcome adversity and find success in our Youth Opportunity Centers. It’s great to see live people.
