Nebraska’s top high school volleyball players to watch

The 2024 Nebraska high school volleyball season is about to begin, and Mike Patterson names some of the state’s best players to watch.

Malorie Boesiger, Norris: Set a school single-season record with 1,093 assists as a freshman last season.

Sierra Crist, Crete: The outside hitter was second in the state with 527 kills.

Mattie Dalton, Fremont: The North Dakota player led Class A last season with 522 kills.

Halle Dolliver, Malcolm: The junior led the state with 651 kills last season but is out of action due to injury.

Abbie Hagedorn, Omaha Skutt: The outside attacker led the Class B champion SkyHawks with 400 kills in 2023.

Hayden Hart, Millard West: The transfer from Gretna East had 276 kills for the Griffins last season.

Shay Heaney, Elkhorn North: The 6-2 player from Grand Canyon University had 262 kills and 202 digs for the Wolves in 2023.

Elle Heckenlively, Gretna: The Northwest Missouri team finished fifth in Class A last season with 396 kills.

Anna Jelinek, Norris: The Long Beach State player had 439 kills and 381 digs for the Class B runner-up Titans in 2023.

Hayden Liebsack, Bennington: Last season she was second in Class B with 474 kills.

Ashlyn Paymal, Omaha Westside: The Creighton player was selected to the All-Nebraska first team in 2023 and recorded 349 kills.

Sierra Pokharel, Millard West: The South Dakota native had 453 digs last season and is considered one of the best liberos in the state.

Charlee Solomon, Papillion-La Vista South: The player, who has committed to Jacksonville State, is a dual threat as a setter (529 assists in 2023) and hitter (197 kills).

Tia Traudt, Grand Island: The outside hitter was second in Class A last season with 476 kills.

Faith Venable, Lincoln Pius X: The UNO player scored 330 kills for the Thunderbolts last season.

Natalie Wardlow, Lincoln Southeast: The 6’5″ player from Wisconsin had 285 kills and 55 blocks last season.

Reagan Wallraff, Elkhorn North: As a freshman, she made a lasting impression last season with 362 kills.

Addison West, Omaha Skutt: The North Carolina player recorded 395 kills for the SkyHawks in 2023.
