Nebraska Public Media is partnering with several Nebraska media outlets to present a one-hour live television debate called “Nebraska Debate 1st Congressional District 2024,” which will air statewide on Nebraska Public Media on Sunday, September 15, at 2 p.m.
Republican incumbent Mike Flood will debate his Democratic challenger Carol Blood at Nebraska Public Media’s Ron Hull Studio in Lincoln. The debate will be broadcast on Nebraska Public Media’s television and radio channels, with live streaming on Facebook, YouTube, the Nebraska Public Media website and the Nebraska Public Media app.
Nebraska Examiner political reporter Aaron Sanderford will moderate the debate. Presenting partners include the Nebraska Examiner, the Omaha World-Herald, the Lincoln Journal Star and the KRVN Rural Radio Network.
This congressional debate is part of Nebraska Public Media’s Campaign Connection 2024 coverage, a cross-platform project focused on informing voters about election campaigns and issues in Nebraska and the race for the White House.
