The Nebraska football team continued its home series with a matchup with Duke on Thursday night. The Blue Devils came out full steam ahead against the Huskers, dominating the field en route to a 3-0 victory.
Nebraska finished the night with just six shots in the game and just one on goal. Duke had 20 total shots, 11 of which were on goal. Cece Villa blocked all 11 shots on goal for Nebraska, finishing with a career-high eight saves.
Ella Guyott and Sarah Weber were the Huskers’ leading scorers, each scoring two goals on the night. Florence Belzile took the team’s only shot on goal, which the goalie quickly intercepted. With the loss, Nebraska falls to 1-2-0 on the season. The team will stay home Thursday night to host Omaha. The game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. and will be streamed on B1G+.
