Houston Kaahaaina-Torres, who has committed to the Nebraska football team in 2025, was named a Polynesian Bowl All-Star on Monday afternoon.
According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Kaahaaina-Torres is the 38th-ranked center back in the class of 2025 and the second-ranked player from the state of Hawaii.
The lineman is the first lineman signed in the 2025 recruiting class.
Kaahaaina-Torres signed with the Huskers on June 30. He had offers from Utah, Michigan State, Arizona and Arizona State. His commitment to Nebraska came pretty quickly when he Lincoln on June 21st.
Kaahaaina-Torres has received several accolades in recent months and was invited to the Under Armour All-American Game in early July.
Nebraska’s football team has made a lot of effort to stock up on offensive talent in recent years. Hawaii State has been particularly kind to Nebraska, as they were able to sign lineman Preston Taumua last year, who was the starting fourth-stringer in 2024. Kaahaaina-Torres is undoubtedly on an upward trajectory.
