The NC State Wolfpack won five games in five days to win the championship game of the ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament, defeating the UNC Tar Heels 84-76. It has been 37 years since NC State won the tournament championship,
NC State jumped out to an early lead over North Carolina in the opening minutes of the ACC basketball tournament, but the Tar Heels were able to cut the deficit and take a 40-39 halftime lead. The Wolfpack showed no signs of fatigue in the first half, despite this being their fifth game in as many days.
