Montgomery County leads Maryland on the 2024 Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies

Montgomery County leads Maryland with 39 companies on the 2024 Inc. 5000 list, including Rockville-based Autosled Inc.
According to the press release, “Montgomery County has 39 companies on the Inc. 5000 List of the fastest-growing private companies in America – more than any other jurisdiction in Maryland. Companies on the prestigious annual list are ranked by percentage growth in total revenue from 2020 to 2023.
Montgomery companies cover a cross-section of industries, with 56 percent being technology companies, making up 35 percent of total representation in Maryland.
The top-ranked company in the region is Autosled Inc. of Rockville, which came in at No. 12 nationally with an average annual sales growth of 14,001 percent. Chaberton Energy of Rockville ranked 34th with an annual sales growth of nearly 7,300 percent.
Maryland has 116 companies at the 2024 Inc. 5000which means a total of 8,286 new jobs. 76 of these companies were previously on the list and 11 are new additions.
