Michelle Pfeiffer plays the lead role in the “Yellowstone” spinoff “The Madison”: “I’m really excited!”
Michelle Pfeiffer is the newest star in the “Yellowstone” universe.
The 66-year-old actress will star in the spin-off show “The Madison” of the successful flagship series and will also serve as an executive producer. Variety reported on Thursday.
Pfeiffer confirmed the casting news in a post she shared on her Instagram page.
“The cat is out of the bag. Can’t wait to see it! #Madison,” the three-time Oscar nominee wrote alongside a screenshot of the Variety article.
“Yellowstone” creator Sarah Sheridan will write “The Madison,” which follows a family of native New Yorkers now living in the Madison River Valley in central Montana, the Paramount Network reports via Variety.

“The Madison” marks Pfeiffer’s return to television after she starred as Betty Ford in the Showtime anthology series “The First Lady” in 2022. The premiere date for “The Madison” has not yet been announced.
The original title of 2024 is The Madison, set in the present day and a sequel to Yellowstone. The series was first announced in November 2023, when Paramount announced that the last episodes “Yellowstone” would not air until November 2024 due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes last fall.
At the same time, Paramount announced that another spin-off entitled “1944” was also in the works. “Yellowstone” has already spawned the successful spin-off series “1883” and “1923”.
