Matt Campbell takes thrilling win at Lincoln Speedway

Matt Campbell of Fawn Grove drove to his second win of the season in thrilling fashion at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday night. Campbell’s victory in the 30-lap Barry Skelly Memorial race was worth $6,000.

Chris Arnold of Dillsburg started from the pole and appeared to be on his way to his first win in a 410 Sprint Car. In fact, Arnold led until the finish line when Campbell, who had started sixth, was able to sneak by and win by 0.210 seconds.

Campbell’s car smoked in the final laps and didn’t make it through another lap before suffering engine problems. Arnold had to settle for second, with Freddie Rahmer in third. Tim Glatfelter and Brandon Rahmer of Spring Grove rounded out the top five. Trey Hivner of Manchester, Troy Wagaman Jr. of Hanover, Aaron Bollinger, Brett Strickler of York and Cameron Smith of Spring Grove rounded out the top 10.

Andy Best led all 20 laps of the 358 Sprint Car race to secure his first win at Lincoln and second of the season. Steve Owings finished second after a late-race comeback. Cameron Merriman, Strinestown’s Logan Rumsey and Preston Lattomus finished in the top five. Jude Siegel, Tyler Ulrich, Jake Galloway, Mike Bittinger and Wyatt Hinkle rounded out the top 10.

Kendall wins in Port Royal: New Freedom’s Robbie Kendall won the first stage of the Living Legends Twin 25 at Port Royal on Saturday, while Mike Wagner took the second.

Kendall’s victory in the first 25-lap race was worth $12,500 and came after he saw two leaders on the track while running second. Early in the race, Anthony Macri of Dillsburg lost the hood of his race car, giving Kendall the lead. Logan Wagner took the lead, but ran out of gas with three laps to go and gave the lead back to Kendall.

Kendall’s first win at Port Royal came against Justin Whittall. Danny Dietrich, Austin Bishop and Mike Wagner finished in the top five. Devon Borden, Tyler Ross, Michael Walter II, Blane Heimbach and Dylan Cisney completed the top 10.

In the second race, Mike Wagner led all 25 laps to secure the $12,500 prize. Whittall again finished second, with Borden, Logan Wagner and Bishop finishing in the top five. Kendall, Walter, Ross, Heimbach and Cisney completed the top 10.

Christian Bruno took his first win in the USAC East Coast Wingless 360 Sprint Car.

Dietz takes first Grove win of the season: Chase Deitz of York had to wait out an hour of rain Friday night before driving to his first Williams Grove Sprint Car win of the season. Dietz received $5,000 for the victory.

Dietz started from the pole and led all 25 laps to beat Steve Buckwalter and take the win. TJ Stutts finished third, with Cameron Smith of Spring Grove fourth. Danny Dietrich edged Freddie Rahmer by 0.083 seconds at the finish line to finish fifth. Troy Wagaman Jr. of Rahmer Hanover, Justin Whittall, Matt Campbell of Fawn Grove and Devon Borden rounded out the top 10.

In the 358 Sprint Race, Chase Gutshall led all 20 laps to earn his first win at Grove. Frankie Herr finished second, followed by Logan Rumsey, Cody Fletcher and Scott Fisher of Strinestown in the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Chris Frank, Cole Young, Doug Hammaker, Derek Locke and Preston Lattomus of Wellsville.

Jackson victorious at BAPS: Tony Jackson cleaned up the wingless super sports cars at the BAPS Motor Speedway on Saturday, taking two victories.

In the regular race, Jackson passed Billy Brian Jr. on lap 19 of 20 to take the win over Brian. Eric Walker, Steve Wilbur and Jay Fannasy rounded out the top five.

In a make-up race from earlier this season, Jack took the lead from Wilbur on lap 12 of 20 and went on to beat Wilbur. Fannasy, Trent Yoder and Walker rounded out the top five.

Lane Snook was the limited late edition winner ahead of Travis Mease, Matt Adams of Etters, Matt Murphy and Zach Kauffman of York Haven.

Steve Davis and Troy Conrad shared the 602 modified features, while Steven Cantwell was the winner of the vintage class.

Washout at Selinsgrove: The Sunday program in Selinsgrove was cancelled due to rain.

Kepner Cruises in Path Valley: Kruz Kepner won the PASS 305 sprint race at Path Valley on Saturday night.

Drew Young, Kyle Hart, Jarrett Cavalett and Austin Greenland completed the top five.

Michael Walls was the Limited Late Model winner ahead of Randy Burkholder, Kyle Moser of York Haven, Jaxton Garman and Jake Moser.

Cole Dewease won the 600cc micro sprint race.

Warrenfeltz wins in Hagerstown: Austin Warrenfeltz was the winner of the Late Model Sportsman class on Saturday at Hagerstown, while Devin Freise won the Legends feature. Dillon Wilson was the best in the Semi-Late class.

Larson takes the High Limits win: Kyle Larson won the High Limits Sprint Car race in Tulare, California, on Thursday. Behind Larson were Rico Abreu, Brad Sweet, James McFadden and Cole Macedo. Brent Marks finished seventh.

On Friday in Hanford, California, Tyler Courtney won ahead of Abreu, Sweet, Macedo and McFadden. Marks finished 23rd.

At the end of the weekend on Saturday in Placerville, California, McFadden won ahead of Justin Sanders, Corey Day, Andy Fosberg and Cory Eliason. Marks finished 12th and Jacob Allen from Hanover 28th.

World of Outlaws in Minnesota: The World of Outlaws were in Jackson, Minnesota, at the Jackson Nationals over the weekend. Carson Macedo won the preliminary tournament on Friday, with Sheldon Haudenschild, David Gravel, Aaron Reutzel and Logan Schuchart from Hanover finishing in the top five. Brock Zearfoss finished 15th.

Donny Schatz won the main race on Saturday, with Haudenschild, Gravel, Reutzel and Emerson Axsom finishing in the top five. Schuchart was eighth and Zearfoss ninth.

Western Pennsylvania canceled due to rain: The races in Lernerville on Friday and Sharon on Saturday were cancelled due to rain.
