Lincoln calls its updated Navigator SUV “Next-Gen,” but it still rides on the same chassis and uses the same 3.5-liter V6 with 446 PS (440 hp / 328 kW) as the old generation. Sales start next spring, but in the meantime, let’s look at the specs.
Inside, a curved 48-inch display now stretches across almost the entire width of the dashboard, and a separate 11.1-inch multimedia screen can be seen below. The infotainment system comes with Google Services as standard. A new two-spoke steering wheel and a revised center console with wood trim complete the cockpit design. The front seats offer heating, ventilation and massage functions, as well as 30-way electric adjustment (previously 24-way).
A special feature called “Rejuvenate” can be activated when the SUV is parked. It uses the ambient lighting, massage, air freshener and multimedia functions to help all occupants reduce fatigue. The individual seats in the middle row also benefit from heating and ventilation, while the rear row only gets by with heating. And last but not least, the base equipment now includes the latest version of Lincoln’s BlueCruise advanced cruise control. The same goes for the adaptive suspension.
As mentioned above, the powertrain remains unchanged, meaning a six-cylinder turbo engine still delivers the same power and torque to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.
