Ahead of the unveiling of the redesigned Navigator, Lincoln has provided us with a teaser video that gives us a look at the updated luxury SUV. While the overall design remains under wraps, the new clip gives us a taste of what to expect when Lincoln lifts the covers. So what’s changed? First off, the Escalade competitor will debut with a refreshed front end.
This includes an updated grille with additional decorative stripes running outward from the Lincoln emblem. Speaking of which, the logo looks sleeker than before. According to the teaser image, the illuminated Lincoln star will carry over, but the lighting will now extend to the newly added grille stripes.
More presence thanks to new styling
Sightings of development models for the new Navigator suggest that these stripes will blend into the slimmed down headlight units for a more unified look, but this has yet to be confirmed. Lincoln also gives a sneak peek at the rear fascia, albeit briefly. Here we can see that the automaker has introduced a sleeker and more tasteful light bar that stretches across the entire width of the tailgate.

Inside, the steering wheel is refreshed with a more modern look. It seems that the more traditional physical controls will give way to modern touch-sensitive controls, while the steering wheel hub looks more angular and gets a double stitch. In keeping with the luxurious cabin, the center console has also been redesigned. The push-button gear selector remains, but gets new switches and appears to have been repositioned, with the start button on the left.
Elegant interior with beautiful details
Just below the gear selector is a crystal-like rotary knob, as well as controls for the hazard lights and other vehicle functions. Leather upholstery and unusual but attractive wood trim are also visible. Aside from these brief hints, the redesigned Navigator remains a mystery. The current Navigator was redesigned in 2022 and was first introduced in 2018.

The new model comes at just the right time. Cadillac just unveiled the redesigned Escalade and European rival Mercedes-Benz recently unveiled an updated version of the GLS. It remains to be seen what will power the latest Navigator, but the existing 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 may have been tweaked to offer more power and torque while improving gas mileage and performance. Perhaps the redesigned model will utilize some form of electrification. Once the Navigator is on the market, it’s only a matter of time before its mainstream cousin, the Expedition, gets a much-needed update.
