According to Mental Health America’s The State of Mental Health in America 2023 study, there is only one mental health provider for every 350 Americans. The Schreiber Center is now feeling the reality of this problem.

“We know how important mental health is to a child’s development and how they think, feel and behave,” notes James DeBord, president of the Schreiber Center. “It affects their ability to learn, their ability to build relationships and their ability to cope with challenges. Children who struggle with mental health issues may have difficulty controlling their emotions, performing academically and building meaningful relationships with others.”

The Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development is a nationally recognized facility that offers family-centered educational and therapeutic programs for all.
