Purchase: AAEThe machine and module manufacturer has Solara Automationn, which specializes in customized industrial automation solutions. The acquisition will allow AAE to offer solutions to a variety of markets and seek to meet the needs of its global customers. Capital city: Addionics has raised $39 million in a Series B financing round. The company, which specializes in battery technology, received funding from GM Ventures And Deep insightswith additional investments of Scania. According to Addionics, the money will be used to improve production capabilities and expand the business globally. In a recent statement, Moshiel Biton, CEO and co-founder of Addionics, said: “It is a privilege to work with real partners who understand the urgency of what Addionics wants to achieve. As global demand for higher performance batteries grows, so does the demand for our product. With the new funding, we can begin commercial production by the end of the year, deliver our technology to battery manufacturers and improve battery performance worldwide.”
