CAMP SPRINGS, Maryland – A fatal crash in Prince George’s County that killed a 16-month-old baby is under investigation.
The toddler, Zariah Plummer, was from Virginia Beach.
Her siblings Zylan Plummer, 7, and Zayir Plummer, 7, were taken to a children’s hospital for medical care.
At approximately 9:00 a.m., Maryland State Police received a call for assistance from Virginia Beach State Police regarding an active Amber Alert that was issued at 2:00 a.m. this morning.
The police pursuit then expanded to Maryland.
A black Honda Passport was crossing the Woodrow Wilson Bridge where it collided with other vehicles, causing his vehicle to overturn.

The driver of the Honda, Dana Plummer, 36, was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
At the time of the accident, all three children were in his car.
The Maryland State Police Crash Team is leading the accident investigation. The Virginia State Police is leading the chase investigation.
