Increase your financial independence with Bank On…

Do you need help understanding your finances and want the confidence and competence to make informed financial decisions?

Bank On Hampton Roads, in partnership with the Virginia Beach Department of Human Services, is offering open enrollment for financial education classes set to begin in September. The free five-month program offers training on creating a spending plan, improving credit, paying off debt, building savings and more. The course offers in-person and virtual options.

All courses take place at the times and locations listed below.

  • Second Thursday of the month from 12 September, 6-8pm
    Williams Farm Recreation Center, 5252 Learning Circle, Virginia Beach
  • Third Wednesday of the month from September 18, 6–8 p.m., virtually or in person
    Jordan Newby Anchor Branch Library, 1425 Norchester Ave., Norfolk
  • Third Saturday of the month from 21 September, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
    Mary D. Pretlow Library, 111 West Oceanview Ave., Norfolk
  • Fourth Tuesday of the month from September 24, 6-8 p.m., virtual

Bank On is a free financial education program launched in the Hampton Roads area in 2012. The course combines classroom instruction with financial coaching to help participants become financially independent and gain the confidence to make informed financial decisions.
