House Speaker Jon Burns and House Rural Development Committee Co-Chairs Gerald Greene and Mack Jackson announced the House Rural Development Committee’s 2024 session schedule, highlighting its continued commitment to promoting growth and development in Georgia’s rural communities.
Last week, House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington), along with House Rural Development Committee co-chairs Gerald Greene (R-Cuthbert) and Mack Jackson (D-Sandersville), announced the dates and locations of the 2024 House Rural Development Council meetings.
“The House Rural Development Council has been instrumental in bringing historic growth and economic development to rural communities across the state,” said Speaker of the House Jon Burns. “From developing strategic policies to strengthening the economy, supporting small businesses, improving broadband access and expanding educational opportunities, every Georgian has benefited from the Council’s work. I look forward to their continued efforts on behalf of rural Georgia’s businesses, citizens and communities.”

- Wednesday, September 18: Town of Thomson
- Tuesday, October 22: Town of Douglas
- Wednesday, December 4: City of Springfield
