Hospice of Northeast Missouri
Hospice of Northeast Missouri offers a six-week grief support group for anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one.
Topics include: understanding the grieving process, personal loss history and its impact on the grieving process, distinguishing between grief and mourning, dealing with insensitive people, the impact of grief on the family system, self-care, and observing special occasions and holidays.
John Bambrick, social worker and chaplain with Hospice of Northeast Missouri, will lead the six-week support group in fall 2024. The six-week support group will meet Mondays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on September 9, 16, 23 and 30, and October 7 and 14.
The support group will be held at the Hospice of Northeast Missouri office at 201 S. Baltimore Street in Kirksville. The six-week support group is free, but advance registration is required. To register for the group, contact John Bambrick at 660-627-9711.
