Can Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs be SEC champions this season? Can they regain their former glory as two-time national champions? Georgia doesn’t exactly have the easiest schedule this season, as they face five of the top 15 schools in the Survey of LBM trainers in the USAAlthough the games against Alabama, Texas and Ole Miss, among others, are challenging, expectations for the Bulldogs are still high.

Georgia has an excellent coach in Kirby Smart. They have QB Carson Beck, who is considered a potential No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Their roster is as good as any team in the country and they don’t have any major weaknesses to judge them by. So will they really be the best team this season?

Georgia is considered by many to be an invincible team, but JD PicKell has a formula to beat them. As in a new YouTube episode on One3 on 12 Augustto beat Georgia, PicKell said: “You have to catch them on the wrong day, like they’re somehow not focused. They’re not focused. They’re sleepwalking for the first couple of quarters, and then you just back off.… You outsmart them.” But will the Bulldogs sleep this season, considering they missed the playoffs last year after being national champions two years in a row?

Georgia is ready to make the postseason with an expanded playoff, and Kirby Smart is emphasizing this. He said: “It is really important that we build depth, that we consider a potentially longer season.” The Bulldogs have lost just two games in the last three years, and as ESPN CFB analyst Paul Finebaum said, “The playoffs are in Kirby Smart’s favor. He has one game in front of him that he absolutely has to win! He has two games in front of him that he absolutely has to win!” And with the resources Georgia has, the playoffs are not an unrealistic goal.

The main reason Georgia is an impressive team is the individuals that make up the team. From the players to the coaches, only the best make it to the Georgia football team. Kirby Smart is one of the best HCs in CFB, while Carson Beck is, if not the best, easily a top-3 QB. This is further underscored by Georgia being ranked #1 in the Coach poll Top 25 ranking this season for the second time in a row. And as TE coach Todd Hartley said, “In Georgia, you are expected to be the best coach at your position in the country..”
