“Frozen” and “Hamilton” star Jonathan Groff hosts Drag Storytime in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Broadway star Jonathan Groff, known on stage for his role as King George III in “Hamilton” and on screen as Kristoff in “Frozen,” returns to his hometown of Lancaster for Drag Storytime.

Groff teams up with drag performer Miss Amie Vanite for a free drag storytime on September 14 at the Lancaster County Convention Center in Freedom Hall A.

There will be two events, one at 11am and one at 1pm.

“This event is open to all ages and welcomes children, families and community members of all backgrounds to enjoy a fun, inclusive experience,” the event’s website states. “Don’t miss this chance to come together, connect and enjoy the magic of stories brought to life by two incredible artists!”

Groff recently won a Tony Award for his performance in “Merrily We Roll Along” and has returned to Lancaster for several other events. He will also host a gala following the story hour with proceeds benefiting Lancaster Pride and the public library.
