FEMA Private Property Debris Removal (PPDR) Program Set to Launch — Ruidoso-NM.gov

Starting tomorrow, August 12, 20234, the FEMA Private Property Debris Removal (PPDR) program will officially begin operations in Ruidoso. Crews will be on site, working diligently to remove fire debris from properties damaged in the recent South Fork and Salt Fire incidents. This important program is part of our community’s ongoing recovery efforts and helps clear the way for rebuilding and restoration of the affected areas.

Who is eligible?

If you have already enrolled in the PPDR program and submitted your Right of Entry (ROE) form, contractors hired by the state will visit your property shortly to begin debris removal. This program specifically targets fire debris and does not include debris removal after flooding.

Not registered yet?

If you have not yet completed your ROE form and would like to participate in this program, there is still time. Please visit the FEMA Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at the Horton Complex.
