ESPN predicts the total number of wins in Nebraska football and the Big Ten for the 2024 season
The Nebraska Cornhuskers enter the 2024 season with the goal of achieving their first winning season since 2016, when they finished with a record of 9-4. ESPN Betting Expert Joe Fortenbaugh recently predicted the total number of wins for Big Ten teams in the regular season, as well as their chances of winning the conference and national championships.
It should come as no surprise that Ohio State and Oregon lead the pack with a projected total of 10.5 wins, while Northwestern, Michigan State and Purdue bring up the rear with a projected total of 4.5 wins.
Matt Rhule enters his second season as head coach after finishing with a record of 5-7 in 2023. The Huskers will begin the 2024 season on Saturday, August 31, when Nebraska welcomes UTEP to Memorial Stadium.
The start time is set for 2:30 p.m. CT and the game can be seen on Fox. This will be the first time since 2019 that Nebraska will open the season against an out-of-conference opponent after starting the season against an opponent from the Big Ten the last four years.
