Concert in honor of Bruce Springsteen’s “Nebraska” streaming on PBS Passport

Last year, a group of artists paid tribute Bruce Springsteen‘s classic solo album Nebraska at a show in Nashville, and if you missed it, now is your chance to see what you missed.

Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska: A celebration in words and music is now streaming on PBS Passportgiving fans the opportunity to experience the concert on September 19, 2023, where the album’s songs will be performed and spoken word stories will be told. Artists who took part in the concert included Emmylou Harris, Lyle Lovett, The Lumineers, Eric Church, Lucinda Williams And Noah Kahan.

Warren Zaneswho wrote the book for the album, Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska, Host of the event. His book is now being made into a film, starring The bear‘S Jeremy Allen White as the boss.

Published on September 30, 1982, Nebraska contained 10 acoustic songs that Springsteen had originally recorded as demos on a four-track recorder. These songs include “Atlantic City,” “Reason to Believe,” and “Johnny 99.” Springsteen had planned to record the songs with the E-Street Band but decided instead to release it as a solo acoustic record.

Nebraska was critically acclaimed, a top 10 hit for The Boss, and was included on several lists of the greatest albums of all time.
