NORTH PLATTE, Nebraska (KNOP) – After the last few weeks of heavy cloud cover (especially early in the day) and below-average temperatures, the weather is set to warm up again in mid- to late August. It’s also expected to be partly cloudy and mostly sunny, with a chance of isolated thunderstorms on some days.
On Sunday the sky was mostly sunny to partly cloudy; after reaching highs of around 27 degrees, some showers/thunderstorms are possible later in the day.
On Monday the sky will be partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers/thunderstorms in the afternoon.
On Tuesday, skies will be mostly sunny with highs of between 30 and 35 degrees. On Wednesday, we’ll stay above 30 degrees with partly cloudy skies as we move into drier and even warmer conditions towards the end of next week; slight changes of showers/thunderstorms. On Thursday, skies will be partly cloudy as it stays mostly dry; highs of between 30 degrees and again a slight chance of showers/thunderstorms.
Friday will be mostly sunny with a high of 91 degrees. Saturday will be high near 90 degrees and mostly sunny skies. Next Sunday will be high near 90 degrees and sunny skies.
