Lincoln has given its 2025 Navigator luxury SUV a new interior and given it a new front and rear design that is reminiscent of some of its midsize siblings, such as the latest 2025 Lincoln Nautilus and Aviator SUVs.
Ford’s luxury division presented the new vehicle at Car Week in Monterey and online late in the evening of August 15th.
The Navigator still rides on a full-size truck frame and is still a cousin of the Ford Expedition and F-150but it has been fundamentally redesigned to provide an even more luxurious driving experience. Offered in Reserve and Black Label trims, it is still a rival for cars like the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, the GMC Yukon, and of course the Cadillac Escalade.
What’s new in the 2025 Lincoln Navigator?
This year’s 2025 Navigator gets a new front and rear design that’s closer to that of the Aviator and Nautilus. There’s a mesh-style grille strapped across the front that features LED lighting with a Lincoln logo. The light band stretches across the body and tapers to a metallic trim piece that arrows back. There, another LED light band curves down toward and around the taillights for a more subtle look.
But the Navigator offers even more luxury inside. Lincoln offers space for 48-inch display across the Navigator’s dashboard. A second touchscreen and a set of piano-key-style transmission controls flank a squared-off steering wheel. Lincoln says the control knob on the console is inspired by crystal, even if it’s not real crystal.
Seats for front passengers start with 24-way power adjustment for the driver and 22-way power adjustment for the front passenger, both with cooling, heating and massage functions. The Navigator L offers about a foot more length overall, which increases cargo space, but it makes no difference to the folks in the second-row bench seats, which can be swapped out for captain’s chairs, or to the comfort of the third row.
Lincoln’s has added two new Black Label models to its range this year. The blue-grey tones of the Atmospheric theme contrast with the beige and grey of the new Enlighten theme. The former gets 24-inch copper wheels, 30-way electrically adjustable front seatsLeather upholstery, wireless smartphone charging for the second row, heated and cooled captain’s seats also for the second row and heating for the third row seats.
In his new Rejuvenation modethe navigator slides the driver’s seat back, starts a massage function, warms the seat and does this for 5 or 10 minutes while the screens go into screen saver mode and the car starts to emit its own scent – while 28 speakers in the rear play Revel audio. The screens display patterns inspired by the elements (earth, wind, fire and okay, water) or the northern lights or a waterfall.

What else is new in the 2025 Lincoln Navigator?
Lincoln has not changed the Navigator’s powertrain this year, despite the desperate need for hybrid systems to improve fuel economy. (No surprise, since nearly a third of dealers rejected a pure electric vehicle sales model.) Still 440 hp and 510 lb-ft The Navigator’s 3.5-liter V6 biturbo engine delivers 1,000 horsepower and is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.
The maximum trailer load is still 8,700 pounds. The Navigator’s 22-inch wheels transmit the road surface via a standard adaptive suspension, but Lincoln now offers 24-inch wheels.
Ford BlueCruise driver assistance system takes over some controls while driving on the highway. This model is standard equipment on the Navigator this year, along with the lane change assistant. BlueCruise covers more than 210,000 kilometers of highways in the USA and Canada. After the first four years of free service, Lincoln BlueCruise is switching back to a subscription model.
Standard features include blind spot monitors, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, automatic parking assist and active lane control. The Navigator also features Trailer reversing assistant and trailer hitch assistance, all linked by its network of cameras and sensors.
