Here comes the all-new 2025 Lincoln Navigator. Everything about it has been upgraded to a whole new level of luxury, technology, and comfort as the Lincoln SUV tries to compete against the recently updated Cadillac Escalade. Does it have what it takes?
Three decades after its launch, the 2025 Lincoln Navigator was redesigned again, this time with design elements inspired by the Nautilus. Lincoln is trying to win back the customers Cadillac lured away with its Escalade, which sells three times as well as the Navigator. Cadillac is once again one step ahead, having introduced its updated Escalade a month before Lincoln’s updated Navigator.
It’s time for the Navigator to fight back, and it does so with upgrades in everything except the engine range. The Off-road vehicle now features a new grille with illuminated light strip that bears the Lincoln emblem. The grille is flanked by narrow headlights with a new light signature.
At the other end, the Navigator gets the new, class-exclusive Split Gate, where three-quarters go up like a traditional tailgate, while the lower part goes down like a traditional tailgate, making loading and unloading a thing of the past. The lower part can be converted into a seating area for picnics, for example.
The Outback’s new full-width taillights are connected by the illuminated 3D emblem. Lincoln has stripped the vehicle of chrome details and replaced them with satin aluminum accents. The brand-new SUV comes standard with 22-inch wheels, while the Navigator is the first to offer 24-inch wheels in high-gloss Ebony or Luster Nickel. Cadillac’s Escalade also received 24-inch wheels for the first time.

The automaker has also significantly redesigned the cabin, creating a 48-inch panoramic display that stretches from pillar to post. There’s also an 11.1-inch screen mounted in a lower position that offers access to Google Maps, Google Assistant and the Google Play Store when the vehicle is parked. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard.
Lincoln has also developed the new Pano mode, which plays video and gaming apps on both sides of the 48-inch display even in parking mode, transforming the cabin into a high-tech space.
On board was a brand new two-spoke steering wheel, while Lincoln also redesigned the center console, using wood, leather and a crystal-inspired volume knob for the 28-speaker Harman-sourced Revel Ultima 3D audio system.
Regardless of the trim level chosen by the customer, all are equipped with heated and ventilated seats and massage front seats. Lincoln offers an optional semi-electric bench seat and electrically adjustable captain’s seats with heating, ventilation and massage. The “Lincoln Soft Touch” third row of seats is electrically foldable in a 40/20/40 split and can be equipped with a heater.

The automaker has brought on board the Lincoln Rejuvenate, which promises to transform the SUV into a spa on wheels. Once activated, the feature slides the driver’s seat back, reclines it, warms it and starts the selected massage program, while simultaneously playing visual effects to relieve stress and music for a relaxing atmosphere.
One of the plans is to include a waterfall meditation with virtual cascades on the panoramic screen, but customers can also choose the “Aurora Borealis” theme, for example.
The vehicle is equipped with the BlueCruise semi-autonomous driving system, which enables hands-free operation on motorways. It integrates the lane change assistant with lane change assistant. At the same time, a new indicator view projects a camera view of the adjacent lane onto the 48-inch display when the driver activates the indicator.
Potential customers can opt for one of the Black Label variants, with either the sunrise-inspired “Enlighten” theme or the cloudy-day-inspired “Atmospheric” theme.

The Navigator is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 440 horsepower (446 PS) and 510 pound-feet (691 Newton-meters) of torque. A ten-speed automatic transmission helps the V6 send power to all four wheels.
The SUV has an adaptive suspension with continuously controlled damping. It is also equipped with ProTrailer Backup Assist and Trailer Hitch Assist.
The 2025 Lincoln Navigator will hit showrooms next spring and once again falls short of the redesigned Cadillac Escalade. The automaker will announce pricing closer to the launch date.
