Lincoln has introduced the revised Navigator and it features an illuminated grille and a more elegant cabin
- Lincoln is preparing to unveil the redesigned Navigator on August 15.
- The model follows in the footsteps of the Nautilus and features numerous changes inside and out.
- The SUV could be offered with a hybridized 3.5-liter V6 with 430 hp.
The full-size luxury SUV segment is booming thanks to a redesigned Cadillac Escalade, an electric Escalade IQ and an all-new Infiniti QX80, and it continues to gain momentum as Lincoln prepares to unveil a new Navigator on August 15.
The company isn’t revealing much about its latest luxury vessel, but the model follows in the footsteps of the Nautilus and gets an illuminated grille. We can also see two-tone wheels, familiar bodywork and revised Navigator emblems on the doors instead of the front fenders. At the back, there’s a slim light bar as well as the “LINCOLN” lettering.

The Nautilus-inspired design continues inside, where we can see a new two-spoke steering wheel and a nicer center console. The latter houses covered cupholders, a piano-key gearshift lever and a crystal control knob.
While Lincoln has been tight-lipped, one of our readers spotted a lightly camouflaged prototype in June. These images showed that the model has a massive new grille flanked by narrow headlights. There’s also a new front bumper with a rounded air intake that stretches almost the entire width of the vehicle.
Little is known about the model so far, but Ford’s agreement with the UAW revealed plans for hybrid versions of the Navigator and the Ford Expedition. Both will be built at the Kentucky Truck Plant and will presumably be similar to the Ford F-150 Hybrid. If that’s the case, we can expect a 3.5-liter PowerBoost V6 that develops 430 hp (321 kW / 436 PS) and 570 lb-ft (772 Nm) of torque.
